The Start
The Cape Codder 19 was born in 1968 when Sandy Urquhart wanted to design a boat that incorporated all the elements of the most seaworthy boats at the time. With an 18 degree deadrise, lifing strakes, and a hard chine, the Cape Codder performed beyond Sandy's expectations and he knew the boat would draw demand from all those who wanted a stable platform for inshore work and fishing. Some years later, Urquhart designed the Cape Codder 24 and it garnered attention from those who needed a larger platform for fishing deeper waters.
The boats
Since the late 60's Cape Codders have been regarded as a quality built, rugged boat suited for the rigors of every day commercial fishing. They are also regarded by many sport fishing anglers as the inshore striped bass fishing boats. Whatever your application, whether it's a weekend with the family or heading out every morning before dawn to make your living, the Cape Codder is up for the challenge.
The "Here and Now"
